Redwood Homeowners Association

Committee Information

Architectural Committee

The Architectural Committee's purpose is to ensure the revisions within the neighborhood are in keeping with the Redwood Neighborhood Charter and do not negatively impact the value of other properties within the neighborhood.  Specific By-Laws governing the actions of the Architectural Committee are contained in the Documents section of this website.

The By-Laws provide detailed guidance as to what changes to your property require the Committee's approval.  The list below contains some of the common requests received and is not intended to be all inclusive.

· Tree removal
· Shed construction
· Deck construction
· Home addition
· Exterior remodeling

As a homeowner within Redwood, you are legally responsible to follow the rules and regulations of the Home Owners Association.   Failure to receive Architectural Committee approval is one of the most common violations of the by-laws and has historically created the most tension within the neighborhood.  This section of the website is designed to make the steps toward committee review and decision easier on the homeowner.

The Architectural Regulations detail the requirements for requests.  The link below is a sample form letter for requests.  You can use its format, but it is not required.

Architectural Request Letter

Once your request is ready, email the Board of Directors via the email link on the homepage of your intent to submit a request.  The Board will send you the latest address for the Chairman of the Architectural Committee for you to send your request.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask the Board!
